New Cardiovascular Disease Leadership
Rahul Doshi, MD, an expert in all areas of electrophysiology, including complex ablation and implantable device therapy, joined USC in June 2013 as director of electrophysiology in the division of cardiovascular medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Doshi most recently served as director of electrophysiology at UC Irvine and St. Jude Medical Center. His primary interests are in therapies for atrial fibrillation and heart failure.

New Oncology Leadership
Stephen Gruber, MD, PhD, MPH, a noted medical oncologist, cancer geneticist and epidemiologist, was named director of the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Keck School of Medicine of USC in December 2011. Gruber, the H. Leslie Hoffman and Elaine S. Hoffman Chair in Cancer Research, came to USC from the University of Michigan Comprehensive Cancer Center. His research focuses on the genetic epidemiology of cancer, with emphasis on colorectal cancer; the molecular pathogenesis of cancer, integrated with genetic epidemiology; methods in genetic and molecular epidemiology; and clinical cancer genetics and translational research in cancer prevention.
